Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Lord Darnley was always the land-lord around here.
It is said, that after Cromwell captured the country, Lord Darnley, whose name was then but John Bligh, was serving Cromwell as a butcher, butchering the Irish.
Cromwell brought this John Bligh, up on top of the Hill of Ward, and told him that, he would own all he saw on either side of him, which he got.
It happened that in one direction, he saw as far as the Hill of Kilmer. Then he was named Lord Darnley. He used to live in Clifton near Athboy.
The nearest relation to the last Lord Darnley, lives in England and his name is also Bligh.
