    One time there was a great card play in a certain house.

    while both of them were hanged for treachery. The young man went home and spent his holidays well and happy. When he went back he found his master very ill. When his master died he willed him all his estate and houses. Then the young man sent for his father and his mother. They came and lived happy with him ever after.

    The following five stories are written in by Rita Keoghan who heard them from her mother Mrs. Alice Keoghan, Ballyadams, Hill-of-Down, Meath who heard them from her father John Burke (same address) who died March 1937 aged 84 years.
