The types of cloth used are -: serge, tweed, hair-striped, Gaeltacht, & Foxford.
The only saying I know connected with the tailoring is that a tailor's wife and a tinker's wife never agreed.
The gears or implements used are needles, thread, scissors, goose iron, and ordinary iron, thimble, and a machine.
Shirts are made in the homes, and the type of cloth used are:- calico, flannelette, & cotton.
Cloth was made from flax long ago. Socks are knitted in the homes locally.
