People wear cloth of home spun but it is only bought in shops.
The types of cloth used are -: serge, tweed, hair-striped, Gaeltacht, & Foxford.
The only saying I know connected with the tailoring is that a tailor's wife and a tinker's wife never agreed.
The gears or implements used are needles, thread, scissors, goose iron, and ordinary iron, thimble, and a machine.
Shirts are made in the homes, and the type of cloth used are:- calico, flannelette, & cotton.
Cloth was made from flax long ago. Socks are knitted in the homes locally.
The thread is not spun in the homes. There are no spinning wheels in(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
