    Poets
    The name of the poet that lived in my district long ago was Ned Mc Mahon ,Killumper ,Kilmihil.Another name of a poet is John Mc Mahon, Cragg,Kilmichil.Ned Mc Mahon was born about 80 years ago.John Mc Mahon was born 50 years ago.John Mc Mahon is still living .I do not know when Ned died John Mc Mahon had the gift of poetry always .My people do not know whether his people before him were poets or not .John Mc Mahon wrote many songs 1)The Hills of Clare 2)The Cottage To Let.3) The song of cow-itch.
    John Mc Mahon was a teacher and he was once lodged with a widow.She was an illiterate and she asked him to put up a notice to have the Cottage to Let,and what he put up on the notice was "a Widow to Let".
    English was the language used.He wrote the songs after composing them.My people never heard of any poets hunting rats.
    The Hills of Clare .
    My comrade boys the hour has come
    When I must say adieu,
    My lonely heart is filled with gloom,
