  1. My home district is Ballydrehid. It is situated in the parish of Kilmoyler and the barony of Clanwilliam.
    It has a population of about one hundred and sixty and there are thirty six families in it.
    Peters is the family name most common in this district.
    There were several houses, in it formerly. From Sheehy's Bridge to Toureen Wood there were several houses built on the slopes of the Galtees. They were so plentiful that you could step from one house to the other. Nothing remains now of those old houses but mud walls, and large stones of which some of them were built. Some of the people who lived in these houses emigrated to America
