    One eve in the sweet Summer season.
    All nature seemed charming to view,
    I roved out for sweet recreation
    When leisure left nothing to do
    I roamed through a beautiful valley
    through which a clear streamlet glides down,
    To moisten the emerald region.
    Of historic Old Lagganstown
    II
    My rambling mind being uneasy, it freed me to wander along,
    Until I arrived at the "Frolick",
    Renowned both in story and song.
    It stands on the rocks of old ages
    There is a view of the country all round.
    It's owned by our hero Tom Clery
    The sportsman of old Lagganstown
    III
    Delighted at once, I proceeded along to
    that old burial place,
    Where the true sons of gallant Tipperary,
    Are sleeping in death's cold embrace
