- (continued from previous page)And I'll think of old Ireland where ever I'll go.2.I will think of old Ireland the home of the brave
I will think of old Ireland across the blue wave
This the home where the green shamrocks grow.
And I will think of old Ireland where ever I go. - A man named Edmond Hayes used to make a syrup from herbs, it was a cure for sore throat He used to make it from "Horehound" and Dandelion. He boiled them together and make them into a syrup. There is another herb growen in the glen called "mocabuidhe" and they used to use it for bleaching the home made linen long ago. Another herb was used for worms in horses and cattle called "Crocdhearg" they used to chop it up very fine and put bran through it.
