Mrs B O'Keeffe, farmer's wife, told above story to her grandchild, Peggy Mulcahy in Nov '37 - The mark of St. John's knees are to be seen on the trunk of the tree. It is said that no one knows the name of that particular tree. If that tree was down for a year in the fire it would not burn. If people got sick and if they drank of that water it would cure them. About eighty years ago a girl from Feenagh was cured at the well and she saw the red fish. About three years ago Nellie Cussen from Knockderry was cured from bone disease when she drank of Baptist's well water.
