- There is only one tailor in the district. His name is Mr. Patrick Harte and he lives in Bally Faireen. He works in his home but sometimes he travels from house to house. He stocks cloth but only some people buy it. It is not spun or woven locally. It is spun in Blarney mills. People wear these materials in coats and costumes. Tweed and Serge are the most popular popular materials worn by the local people.
The implements the tailor uses are, a lap-board, a pressing iron, a sewing machine, an inch tape, chalk, a needle, thread and a thimble. The tailor's thimble is different from the ordinary thimble, because it has a hole at both ends.
