  1. I hear the neighbours saying that there is a crock of gold hidden in our land. There are three or four forts near it. Where the crock of gold is supposed to be hidden there is a whitethorn tree growing near it. It is down in a deep glen. There is a big lump in the middle of it, and it is called Cnocín na Piobaire.
    Long ago the pipers were heard there. From the crock of gold there is a passage leading from one fort to another.
    One of the passages is running under the road to Glenville. If you were in a car you would notice an empty sound in the road.
