  1. About two hundred years ago a man called Garet Nagle is said to have owned all Derryleigh. The field where his house was is still called "The Old Yard". The field where he had his orchard is still called "An Ghairdín".
He had a crock of gold in the cabbage in "An Gháirdín". Many people searched for the gold, but one of them saw a ghost and that frightened others. A man in America dreamt that it was in a certain ditch, and he wrote it home.
Then they began searching again, but no one ever found it.
