  1. Once upon a time there was a man going back the road to Lomanaugh driving a horse and car. When he looked back he saw a ghost inside in his car. She made to kill him but he begged and implored of her to give him a chance to make his peace with God. His request was granted, but the ghost told him that she would spare his life altogether, if he got for her a cambric shirt without a stitch of needlework.
    The man went home and told his story to the priest who promised to help him. He told him to say to the ghost when he met her, the following
