    chief work daily will be to feed the kiln with layers of turf and stones according as he draws the lime. A lime burner or anyone else should never stand on the top of the kiln where turf is being used, as his weight is apt to make the contents run.
    A lime burner was burnt to death that way many years ago in this district.
