The following is a rhyme which foretells the destiny of a child born on each day.
"Monday for health
Tuesday for wealth
Wednesday the best day of all
Thursday for crosses
Friday for losses
Saturday no luck at all.
But the child who is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and happy and bight and gay."
Another rhyme says.
Monday's child is fair of face
