    The old people always said - A sow farrowing at the time of a new moon had a small litter & a sow farrowing at the time of full moon had a very big litter.

    Long ago on Little Christmas Eve all the vessels in the house were filled with water as it was said it would be changed into wine that night.
    The next morning the water was all thrown out.
