  1. Long ago people got up early on May morning and washed themselves in the dew.
    People bring in a branch of sycamore tree early on May morning and put it on the dresser and whoever would be at the well first would take the branch and put it into the well.
    Other customs were to be up early on May morning and milk the cows out in the fields.
    The people used to put a piece of sycamore tree on the horses winkers on May Day.
    The people nettle each other on May Day.
    It is very unlucky to give away milk on May Day.
