- Long ago some of the customs were they would give the house a good cleaning, white-washing and painting. Then they would start to prepare a great feast boiling the Christmas pudding + roasting the goose. The people used to fast Christmas Eve and stay up till twelve o'clock that night and have a great feast.
Then very early in the morning they would go to prayers. All the people of the house would go together and come home together.- Collector
