Why not the Irish people have their own set ways for expressing their feelings of joy, sorrow, anxiety, etc, as well as the free birds of the air.
The Irish language is a very old language, and should be as natural to the Irish people as the bird language is to the birds.
The Irish boys and girls now attending school should do "their level best" to acquire a good knowledge of Irish and use it constantly if possible, and so bring it back to its proper place in the every-day life of the country. Thus a great and noble lesson might be learned by the Irish people from the fact of bird language.
