    They nearly always travel singly and very seldom in bands.
    These are some of the names of the best known of the travelling people :- Tommy Spooney, Maggie Spooney, Terry Lynch, Johnnie Calman, who is a travelling tailor, and he goes from house to house making clothes for people.
    He is always called "Johnnie the Tailor."
    The Jolly-go Round" who sells tea.
    Bart Cronan, Jack Coakley, John Daly, Dan Jer, Jerry the Quality, Tommy Malone, Jack Fooil.
    They come to the local Regattas, fairs, and where people gather together.
    They bring stories from other parts of the country and the local people go "scorearthing" to the house that they stay in.
