    The following herbs were used as cures in olden times:-
    Stomach disorders and children's ailments:
    caraway seeds.
    Measles:- nettles
    Mumps:- gladum.
    Dropsy:- heather.
    Diarhoea:- blackberry leaves.
    Chincough:- asses milk
    Kidney trouble and liver disorders:- Dandelion
    Shin-diseases:- ground ivy.
    Sore throat and for washing ulcers:- Raspberrys
    Coughs:- chestnut leaves.
    Lung diseases and derangement of bladder and liver:- Cherry bark.
    Internal bleeding: witch hazel bark.
    Rheumatism and gout:- elder flowers.
    Nervous:- mistletoe
    Bronchitis:- marshmallow.
