During the game, the players kept called out "Hara, hara, fox, hara" in order to confuse him.
The player in whose possession the rope was found was the next victim.
In the Haoltacht this game is called "An Fhaic" and the rhyme is "An fhaic, an fhaic scaoilidh thart and fhaic"
    "Buying a bit of linen"
The game with the above title caused much rough sport also.
The players sat round the Kitchen while the man in charge was trying to sell a bit of linen. Which was a dirty wet rag. He called on the players in turn, and asked them to buy the linen. Each man had to answer for his neighbour and would hastily refuse to buy. If he accepted in error, or forgot to answer correctly he was well beaten with the rag.
