    Travelling Folk

Travelling people call to our house sometimes. Some of them are poor. and some are not. When they come to a house they get work and earn money. They mend kettles, sweep chimneys and make tin cans. They sell cans, saucepans, collar studs shoo laces and Holy Pictures. They get their supplies in the town. They remain about a week round the place. Some of them sleep in tents. They mostly travel in families. The last known who call here are Nevins. Joyces and Stephans. They come in large droves on the pattern Day 24th June.
