    They thought they'd teach us manners
    But instead of teaching they were taught
    A lesson that they dearly bought.
    They were billeted for a little while in Drimoleague but during their stay there nothing happened to disturb the peace.
    It was the custom at the time to have a notice on the back of the front door of the house containing the names and ages of all the occupants of the house. At that time there lived in the vicinity of Drimoleague a working man who was "sgeóned" of his life
