    of the cake. This was done to make the cake bake quicker. Cake was baked in front of a fire standing against a support. Griddle cake was made. Special kind of bread was used on special occasions.
    On a Shrove Tuesday night pancakes were made. On Halloween night a special cake was made. The cake contained a ring, a rag, a stick, a pea, and a bean. These cakes are made still.
