  1. Lord Bandon was the Landlord of this place before the Land Commission took it over. His predecessors were landlords for generations. They had the name of being very good to the tenants. I never heard of any evictions in the district. The agents were always thought to be harder than the landlord. In old times farms were sub-divided A farmer when his children were old enough to do for themselves divided his farm between them. Some of the landlords exercised certain power over their tenants. If a poor landlord had a fine horse or a fat pig it was to be given to the landlord if he wanted it, or if a tenant had a nice daughter she was to be
