  1. Long ago there lived a certain man in the Parish of Schull named Mr. Timothy O'Donovan.
    It happened that one of his cows got seriously ill. He tried to cure her with several remedies but he did not succeed in doing so.
    Day after day the cow got worse and complained like a human being.
    Later on, on some occasion a priest came to the man's house. The man told him about the cow that was sick. The priest went to see the cow and he dashed holy water between her two eyes and she immediately turned into an old man and died.
