    The eldest lad caught the bird and brought it home. The old mother as bad as she was, could no feel it in her heart to harm the little bird when she saw how nice it was. The two fellows went to Dublin the next day, got lodgings and it happened that there was a big dance and the two boys were at it. The king's daughter was there also and she danced with the eldest lad and soon fell in love with him.
    They went to France and brought the young brother with them. They came back to Ireland again and the two boys presented the bird to the king again who lived in Ratheroghan and the king told them
