- Nearly ll our cows have got names namely Pollie Barnkill and Shorthorn. When bringing in the cows I saw "Bale up" "Bale up" and Sometimes I say "High Home" "High Home".
The cow-house is built with mortar and stones with zinc roof. Mangers are made in the cow-house in order to hold hay for the cows. The house has one window and one door. They are tied with "bales". Two sticks are standing up in the ground with a rope tying from one bale to another. The cow-house is situated in the centre of the pig house and the dairy and at the left hand side of the dwelling house. Palm is an emblem which is supposed to bring luck to the stock.
The stable is much different from the cow-house. The horses have got names, namely:- Fan Pol. The stable is built with two stalls one for each horse. Our stable(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
