rather large. Only one half of this School was in use.
In 1934 this old School was set on fire one night. It has not been discovered up to now who did this. The Catholics were blamed. On the other hand it was reported that some of the Protestant did it themselves.
Although the School was Insured and could have been re-built by the Insurance; but our Protestant neighbours declared it was a malicious act, and on this account the Rate Payers in the Luggacurren area had to bear the burden of erecting the present New Protestant School known as No "I"
At present there are only nine Protestants going there.
This School is only about seven minutes walk from the Temporary Catholic School.
