  1. St, Fiacc was Bishop of Sletty long ages past. It is said that this Bishop used to leave his distant Church of Sletty on Shrove Tuesday and go by an under ground passage to the Dune of Clopook a distance of seven miles. Tradition has it that he used to take five Barley loaves and some Fishes with him. He used to retire to this cave to perform penitential exercises - such as prayer and fasting. - during the season of Lent. He returned at the end of Lent to Sletty to celebrate the Festival of Easter with his breathern. He usually brought back with him portion of one of the loaves.
