  1. Uick Sherlock was telling me that his great grand-father told him about one night he was coming from from Kilowney bog Stradbally. When he came to two piers at the turn of Kilowney lane he heard the music of a fiddle and then he got afraid and went on. He had just gone a few yards by an old stile. A big stone tumbled down behind him and that music was often heard so that the people that lived down that lane used not come up after dark.
