  1. There was once an old woman and she was a cripple and she couldn't go to mass and the priest came to her so he thought she was able to go, and he hit her with the horse whip and told her she was able to go. Then he went out and got up on his horse, and the horse got frightened and knocked the priest off and he fell on his head, and he was not killed.
    That was a sign of the priest, when she wasn't able to go to mass.
