  2. 11-4-38 Old Schools
    Schools were held at the back of hedges, and lonesome places where the English soldiers would not see them. And they were not strangers but they did not speak any Irish. They be arranged from class to class in first second and third and so on and so in the winter time they had to pay for their own firing.
