  1. 20-12-37 Funny Story
Monover was a giant who came from Norway, or Sweden. There was in his time a giant called Finn in Ireland. Monover had been listening to tales of how great Finn was. So Monover said he would go over to Ireland and see about Finns greatness himself. Finn was very troubled when he heard of the giants coming. He told his wife and she at once thought of a trick. There was a cradle in the house and she put Finn into it. Monover came and didn't Finns wife let on he was not at home. Soon the giant got hungry and asked for something to eat so Finns wife told Monover that she had no meat but to go out and get a bullock in the field. While Monover was in the field Finns wife got a griddle and and put dough at each side of the griddle and Monover ate some of the iron and was choked.
