- 11-4-38 Old Schools
There was a man who used to visit the district and he used to come at certain parts of the year and set up a school in the farmers house or barn these were called hedge school. The subject he thaught was reading and writing he would have a bag of books and then the farmers and their children would form a class. There was no Irish thought in those times.
