Somebody sent for the Priest and when the Priest arrived at Powerswood in the evening the place was locked and barred. They had not heard of the accident even. So the Priest returned to Thomastown and on his way he got information that the wounded man was lying in a farmhouse on side of road at the Rockwell - probably Greene's.
   This put an end to the feud between Hanrahan and Raftices and shortly after Raftices got back their farm. The hut in which the Raftices lived during the time they were evicted is still to be seen in the farmyard at Powerswood.
