    Ash Wednesday
    In olden days the people only ate one meal and a collation durning Lent. The most common food the people during Lent was potatoes and gruel. One hundred years ago tea came into use and from that time until thirty years ago tea was drunk without milk on Ash Wednesday.
    Shrove Tuesday Night
    On shorve Tuesday night pan cakes were baked. This custom is in use to day. The belief is that people used to fast all Lent long ago and they used to have a feast on that night. There is no certain date for this feast.
    Easter Sunday
    On Easter Sunday morning the people used to go out to see the sun dancing.
