The people that ate the hard oaten bread and stirabout brought their teeth with them to the grave. Now they eat soft food and their teeth are gone from them at an early age. One night a stranger went to ramble into a house and the woman of the house was making stirabout.
The woman was working about the house and now and then she used to come over to stir the stirabout with the pot stick. There was another left handed girl and she came over to stir the stirabout and she stirred it the opposite way. The man said "leave that stirabout alone and do not be knocking the twist out of it."
