  1. An old woman told me that when she was a young girl she once paid a visit to some friends who lived near a graveyard. She awoke during the night and to her astonishment she heard the sound of music and dancing from the kitchen and after each dance clapping. As the dawn began to break these sounds ceased and there began a great confusion of voices and she heard someone say "sure she is going to be married". A great cry then arose among the others and after that the sounds ceased.
It was quite true that one of the girls of the house was about to be married.
