    At once the boat toppled over and the two men were drowned.
    The Loch was searched for two days but the bodies were not found. On the third day Tommy Trapp was found but no trace of Richard Saddlier.
    As Tommy was a Catholic he would not be taken out of the water, until Richard was found.
    Richard was a Protestant and they wanted to have the honour of getting the Protestant man first.
    It is said Richard was bringing a bouquet of flowers to a girl in the town and that after he was drowned he was seen walking up the town with the bouquet of flowers
