- Marriage Customs.Marriages are always times for merrymaking especially in country places. In the cities we know very few of our neighbours, but in country places we know everyone for miles around.There are many customs connected with marriages. The observing of these sometimes rouse the newly married couple's anger and this does not add to the gaity. Occassonally the people playing these tricks go so far that the police are often brought to the scene.It is very interesting to remember these old customs.
