- There were some old houses where we lived, there were some houses and the people whom they belonged to were Ann Byrne, Bill Malone, Jack Mulligan , Hughie Brennen.
Ann Byrne's house was make with railway sleepers and roofed with felt . Bill Malone lived in y Aunt's field and his house was made the same as any other house. Jack Mulligan had a house in Mr. O Haires field and it was a thatched one.
The old people used to have a bed in the kitchen by the side of the wall and it was called a settle bed and it could be turned up and it was like a seat , and some of the people had a can somewhere in the roof instead of a chimney.
The kind of floors that were in the old houses were made with clay , and there were half doors on some of them and a big door as well , and the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
