Lady Dowger was a very old lady and while she lived she led a very bad life.

    (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)
put them to jail for the rest of their life.
She lived to be a very old woman, her age was 99 years when she died. When she got sick the people were afraid to go to her, because she (got) would curse them. Then she got very bad and the priest was sent for without her knowledge. When the priest came she could not tell her Confession and she said he was only trying to fool her.
When she died there was music heard around the house, and the day she was buried the horses refused to carry the coffin because she was so bad. The people had to carry the coffin on their shoulders to the graveyard. The next day when the people were passing the graveyard they saw her standing up on the grave, and they buried her again but she arose every time so the had to build a big wall around her to cover her from the sight of the people.
