    They marched that night with grand torch light to the noise of fife and drum,
    To view the famed Clontibret maids it was their motive still
    Who lived along the border of sweet Lisdinny Hill

    When the door was laid down the dancing did begin,
    Derrynoose against Clontibret to see which of them would
