And from Maugha of course we had the girls and boys
The Sheehy's, the Mars and the Quills from Cloghane
And to crown all our joys, we had Shaun Andy's 'Madán
    Re-re-fall etc.
From the top of the hill the Mc Elligotts came,
And the Moloneys from Carrig advanced to the game
Likewise the Connells, they were grand I ween
'Twould remind you of the "Rising of Cahirciveen"
    Re-re-fal etc.
Maggie Mahony was there, and I'll say certainly
She was the only person that did frighten me
When she commenced to dance sure you'd swear on your oath
That she was a weld deer or the Dingle Puck Goat
    Re-re-fal etc.
Out late in the night who did we espy
But Ould Tommy Collins and Big John's servant boy
To see Tomeen there, he would you surprise
And you'd think he was "Charlie the Duke" in disguise
    Re-re-fal etc.
