- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)bottle of ink when he would be coming near
the treasure, One morning he arose before
daybreak and started to dig on his best
beneath the rock. He had come as far as
the ink, papers and coins when he saw
a man coming towards him whom he
thought to be a servant of the landlord
Jacob Powel who lived in Tinnecarra. In
those days a person would be severely dealt
with if he was found cutting trees or doing
and work of impostance on the land without
the consent of the landlord. So the poor
herdsman was perplexes and forgetting the
warning in the dream invited the man to
the house for a cup of tea and a smoke.
the invitation was accepted by the stranger
and both of them set out in the direction
of the house. When they had gone 50 or 60
yds to the herdsmans surprise and astonishment
the stranger suddenly disapeared. It was
then he bethought the warning in the dream
and he returned in haste to the rock but to
his dissapointment the ink and paper had
disapeared and the coins were no where to be seen.- Bailitheoir
