Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Tradition tells us that a treasure lies hidden in John Cullen's land. This field is situated in the town-land of Glenballinashee. The treasure I know of is placed under a flag overshadowed by a big high white thorn bush. It is supposed to have been placed there by the Danes.
    It is the belief of the people that the treasure consists of a pot of gold. The story tells us that an eel guards every day. He is constantly there but he absents himself for and a half hours each day. During this period he visits Lough Gill for a drink. The treasure could have been dug up during his absence but the certain hours are not known. No one ever tried to unearth this treasure.

    Numerous people dreamt of it and they were told not to tell it until they would dream of it three times but they had not the patience to wait and
