  1. No one knows the meaning of Lisgorey, it possibly means Gorey's Fort.
    There are three large rings in the fort with deep, wide, dykes in between them. Part of the fort is overrun with hawthorn bushes, and briars. In the middle of the fort is a large square patch half sunk in the ground, like a cave-in. Over to one side is a small hillock with a small cave in it. It is not a big cave as it is impossible to to stand upright in it.
    Off to one side of the cave is a passage half blocked with stones going in the direction of the cave in.
