  1. The water that washes the feet is generally thrown out. The old people say that it is not right to be left inside or use for anything else. There is a story connected with this:- Some years ago around Christmas children were inside alone at night about seven o'clock, and they had a pot of potatoes boiled by the fire for their parents who were in town. All the children were after washing their feet when two women came in and asked water to wash the young baby. They had nothing to give them but the water that washed the feet. One of the women caught the water and pelted it into the pot of potatoes. So one of the women got a chance
