    May Flowers grow on the banks of rivers. The children in this district usually gather the May Flowers. The flowers are strewn at each entrance to the house and on the window-sills. This old custom is supposed to bring good luck to the house during the season of Summer.
    The people in this district believe it unlucky to put out ashes or water on May Day.
    St Martins Day.
